Childhood Angst Sabotaging Adult Lives with Donna Kemper

Childhood Angst Sabotaging Adult Lives

- Donna Kemper

You consider yourself a functioning adult who holds a job, carries responsibility for a maintaining or co-maintaining a household, and who makes appropriate decisions for yourself and/or others. And yet there are times when one seemingly insignificant or harmless action or statement pushes a button and then throws you into your automatic defense loop, and totally derails you.

As soon as that button is pushed, you have been plugged into an earlier memory of an unpleasant situation which has never been fully resolved. If the emotions from the original events have never been fully discharged, what do you suppose happens to that excess energy? It stays stuck in the body. And each and every time you become triggered in that way and suppress the emotion it evokes, you compound the situation. Eventually it is bound to show up physically in the body in the form of headaches, backaches, TMJ, neck pain, digestive issues, etc.

Wounded Warrior – PTSD by Pat Farrell

Wounded Warrior – PTSD

- Pat Farrell

This past Sunday at Chamber of Commerce event, I met the Captain in charge of the Wounded Warrior Program at a military base about an hour from me. We got to talking and I was asking him about the program. He told me that he had about 37 in his program who had PTSD. He was very sympathetic toward their plight. We made an appointment for Wednesday (yesterday). I suggested that he invite anyone else who might have an interest and, if he wanted, I could do a demo with a soldier who was willing.

At our meeting yesterday, there was the Captain, a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, a computer input person, a woman from HR and a Sergeant. I explained briefly that EFT (aka Energy Psychology, Meridian tapping) was really acupuncture for the emotions, without the needles. I told them that I had named it “the miracle drug…without the drug.”

Picking Effective EFT Tapping Phrases with Stefan Gonick

Picking Effective EFT Tapping Phrases

- Stefan Gonick (www.eft-alive.com)

The EFT Reminder Phrase

When first learning EFT, one of the most common questions is “what words do I use for the EFT reminder (problem) phrase”? I know that this was confusing for me when I was first learning. There are a number of elements to coming up with good tapping phrases, but I would like to share a key principle with you that will help make selecting good tapping phrases much easier.

The first thing that we hear about when picking reminder phrases is to be as specific as possible. This is very true but as specific as possible about what? The most common mistake that I find that people make is to pick a reminder phrase that describes their problem as a concept rather than their direct experience of the problem.

Finding the Right Mate for You with Alina Frank

Finding the Right Mate for You

- Alina Frank (www.tapyourpower.net)

EFT is the most effective tool hands down to break ancient patterns of behavior and thinking both in my opinion and in my experience. Nothing works as elegantly in making links to the past  so  that all a skilled practitioner has to do is be completely present to what the client is feeling to make a session a success. This You Tube clip   from the movie What the Bleep illustrates how triggers for emotional pain often lie beyond what one is experiencing right now in the present moment. In the clip you see the wedding photographer suddenly reliving her own  wedding ceremony  and the painful betrayal of her husband. In sessions one can watch as one association after another is made until all the layers of the neural net onion  are revealed and healed. The level of intensity surrounding an incident in the present is in direct preportion  to the way it is linked to the past and nowhere is this more obvious than in the area romantic relationships.

Invite Abundance Into Your Life…

- Carol Look

What if you started to Invite Abundance Into Your Life…
With the right invitation, so much abundance would start to flow…

Don’t you just love a good invitation?  And you know how it feels when you get an invitation that is luke-warm or not that appealing.

What kind of invitations are you sending to the Universe
about the abundance you desire?

Are you repelling abundance with your thoughts and feelings, or are you Inviting Abundance Into Your Life?  Everything we do, say or feel is communicating to the Universe that we are either receptive to abundance or not ready (not a good match) for abundance.  Once you start to evaluate the quality of your “invitations” you are offering to the Universe, you will be able to more consistently Invite Abundance into your life!

Tapping Away Stress

- Lindsay Kenny

It’s a fact that we live in stressful times. Unless you operate under extraordinarily peaceful circumstances, it is almost inevitable that you will encounter daily stress. There are always deadlines to meet, more tasks to get done than seem possible and countless outside forces presenting unexpected challenges every day.

I’m not a doctor, but I am a human being, and I’ve battled high stress levels for years… and have paid the price for it. So with more than enough first-hand experience and a lot of research, here’s what know. Stress is far more than the tension in your neck and shoulders, and in fact it negatively affects virtually every system in your body. The ongoing affects of stress are highly detrimental to your physical and emotional health.

Knowing how to successfully manage stress (in a safe, responsible way,) can improve your health, enhance your relationships and provide peace of mind. It could even increase your longevity. My intention with this article and accompanying audio is to teach you a simple, safe and effective way to deal with stress. But first I want to remind you how bad stress really is for you.

Fibromyalgia as an Energy Imbalance with Rue Hass

Tapping for Fibromyalgia as an Energy Imbalance

- Rue Hass , M.A., EFT Master

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, fibromyalgia is a “disharmony of the spirit.” Can you apply that thought to this description of two “typical” fibromyalgia sufferers?

*Eight years ago, Tammy worked as an office manager and had three young children. Then her husband died, and her children began to have problems adjusting at school. A single working mother with a stressful job, Tammy would lie awake nights worrying about her situation. “My sleep went off first. I never had trouble falling asleep before, but I would lie awake night after night, thinking about my kids and my job, and it seemed that I never had a deep, sound sleep, even if I dozed off. After a while I would wake up in the morning feeling stiff all over and extremely tired. When I went to see my doctor he gave me an anti-depressant, but it didn’t work, plus I gained weight.” Gradually, Tammy’s condition worsened.

*Sheila is an elementary school teacher. Six years ago, her twenty-four year marriage ended in a very bitter divorce. Four years ago, she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. She had multiple complaints: fatigue, depression, muscle aches, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, and poor memory. She always woke up between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., feeling restless and remembering a lot of dreams. She drives herself to excel in her work, but she is finding it very stressful these days, and often thinks that she can’t handle it any more.

How Progress Happens:
10 Lessons Learned From Working with the
Feeling of Anxiety All Day at Work

- Gene Monterastelli (www.TappingQandA.com)

Recently I was working with “Kelly.”  We had been working every week or two for 30 minutes at a time on the issue of anxiety she was feeling at work.  When we started working she described the anxiety as being present from the moment she walked in the door until she left.  There were moments that she just wanted to run from the room screaming.

In the last eight weeks we have had six 30-minute sessions.  We have not completely taken care of the issue, but a lot of progress has been achieved. Here are the steps that we have taken and the lessons that can be learned from our process.

Thinking About the Day and Not Feeling the Stress

In the beginning the anxiety that Kelly felt lasted well beyond just the work day.  As the weekend would come to an end the feeling would start to grow.  She would wake up in the morning with that gross feeling in the pit in her stomach.  Just thinking of the office would bring the feeling on.

Complain Your Way to Breakthrough with Margaret Lynch

Complain Your Way to Breakthrough

- Margaret Lynch

Complaining is both universally used and detested by pretty much everyone. Nobody likes to hear it, but we all do it in our own special way AND there is one universal truth about complaining. While you are doing it, you feel really, REALLY justified! I know I do!

Yes, complaining does have a dark and pretty nasty downside and that is why everyone (and every guru) will tell you to ZIP IT and stop complaining. I totally understand why.

But Tapping has the strange ability to let us go into and examine even really negative emotions and behaviors in a way that creates great transformation and higher levels of consciousness. Yes, it is THAT powerful!

So I am going to shine a new little light on complaining, even at the risk of being misunderstood, and even give you a complaining exercise to try on purpose.

Remember to Roll Your Eyes!
A Deeper Understanding of the Gamut Point Procedure

- Carol Prentice (www.carol-prentice.com)

“You want me to do what? Roll my eyes and then hum and count?!”

Many of us may have reacted this way when we first observed Gary Craig teaching the Gamut Point Procedure. Some clients will ask for more details about the seemingly strange technique and whether or not it’s even necessary.  In fact, some E.F.T. therapists have taken out the Gamut Point Procedure completely and find that the tapping itself works wonders and skipping the Gamut Point saves time (as if E.F.T. didn’t work fast enough already!)
