Legal Issues with Rue Hass

An anonymous grievance was filed against Rue by her state’s Department of Regulatory Agencies for practicing therapy without a license. She responded that she was a Spiritual Life Path Coach, a profession unregulated by the state laws. However, the State handed her a Cease and Desist order, the harshest penalty available, and an extremely unusual punishment. She hired legal defense, which was able to prove that she was not practicing psychotherapy, and further that the State had compromised many of its own regulations in trying to create this case against her. Her attorneys speculated that the Department of Regulatory Agencies was attempting to make a test case of her, in an attempt to gain control of other alternative practitioners in the state. Her legal team was able to compel the Department of Regulatory Agencies to withdraw and dismiss their claim against her, and completely clear her name.

People who perform in front of audiences have very special challenges! Performance anxiety can show up as a few jitters, dry mouth and shaking hands — and for some, stage fright can be debilitating. There’s worry over difficult passages, or forgetting entire passages. And what about hitting those high notes?
